As CEO of Diversity VC, I've led significant initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the venture capital industry. I launched the Diversity Standard for VC firms, a framework that establishes benchmarks for diversity practices, adopted by over 100 firms globally. To build a pipeline of diverse talent, I spearheaded the FutureVC program, which has successfully placed hundreds of individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in VC roles. Additionally, I developed regional and global communities to foster collaboration and accountability among firms.

I established Educating Horizons in 2023 after a successful career in education and local government, driven by my belief in the need for systemic change to improve the lives of vulnerable and marginalized individuals. My work has focused on addressing the disproportionate impact of oppressive systems, which contributes to poor outcomes. I led initiatives that reduced exclusions in schools, such as the Vulnerable Pupil Hot Clinic, which provides early support to at-risk students. My efforts resulted in the lowest exclusion rates in London at the secondary level. Recognized for my contributions to inclusive education, I received a Global Impact Award and became a Distinguished Fellow with the International Forum for Inclusion Practitioners.
